SIE Kick-Off: Inclusion in Sport Is Not an Add-on – It Is the Foundation of Equal Opportunities
From January 21 to 22, 2026, the initial kick-off meeting for the new project titled “Sport for Inclusion and Empowerment” (SIE) was held. These were two days filled with great energy, inspiring conversations, and constructive agreements that laid the foundation for the future activities of this important project.
This gathering provided an opportunity for partners to meet and exchange ideas, but primarily to define the next steps in implementing a project that puts sport at the service of social change. The focus of the SIE project is clearly directed toward inclusion and empowerment, because for our Federation and its partners, inclusion in sport is not just an add-on or a passing activity, but the very foundation of equal opportunities, a sense of belonging, and the strengthening of the entire community.
The meeting took place in an exceptionally positive atmosphere, confirming that there is a strong will and motivation among all participants to create concrete changes through sports engagement. We are proud of the start of this new collaboration and enter the implementation phase with great enthusiasm, aiming to work together to build opportunities for more inclusive, fair, and empowered communities where sport will truly be accessible to everyone.
